Art of Glory
Exhibition Dates: 29 November 2013 to 20 December 2013
Artist Statement:
My deepest desire is to capture the happenings of the spiritual realm so as to identify and understand what is invading our psyche subconsciously. Oftentimes this comes in a form of ‘Déjà vu’ or ‘just a feeling’ kind of moment which is usually neglected because we do not know how to comprehend something beyond what our naked eyes can see.
The development of the human spirit carries with it a need to learn and understand the true God – in order to find the reason for our existence in the physical and spiritual worlds that surround and lies within us. This is man’s quest to find peace in his true identity and being.
Concept
Art of Glory – this exhibition seeks to introduce us to a new dimension which is foreign to the populace. This is none other than the fourth dimension. Many of us have subconsciously experienced this fourth dimension without even understanding it.
The collection of works in this exhibition attempts to reveal the happenings within the spiritual world. All the paintings here employed the surrealistic method to portray this concept. The distinctive creatures used here were represented based on their distinct nature and behaviour.
Some paintings express nature in the form of twigs and leaves to signify the form of man and woman to send the message of the existence of a Creator. As such, the works are deliberately designed to unlock your senses to this fourth dimension. This is to allow you to see and feel what I was experiencing in my process of capturing these images during my sub-conscious state or dreamy mode.
In this collection, each composition speaks a message about the state of the spiritual and physical world and what is our purpose of our existence in this world
